Hey, America: Larry David’s Back—and He Brought the Obamas!

Move over, Founding Fathers—there’s a new 250th‑anniversary duo in town!

HBO just announced that Larry David, Founding Father of grumble‑comedy and beekeeper‑turned-reluctant TV star, is teaming up with Barack and Michelle Obama for a limited six‑episode sketch show.

In true David fashion, the show’s working title is “(Untitled) Anniversary Thing,” because, as Larry puts it, “Titles are a hassle.”

“They Wanted History…But Then Larry Called”

Higher Ground, the Obamas’ production outfit, is behind the series—which, judging from the press release, went something like this:

“President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America’s 250th anniversary and celebrate the unique history of our nation on this special occasion.… But then Larry David called....”

Classic case of “Let’s make something dignified” colliding with “Hey, I got jokes.”

Bees, Foam Parties, and Reluctant Returns

After “Curb Your Enthusiasm” wrapped its 12th and final season, Larry staged his own three‑day foam party—because nothing says celebration like a sudsy allergic reaction.

“After a violent allergic reaction to the suds, I yearned to return to my simple life as a beekeeper,” David lamented. He’d been harvesting “organic honey from the wildflowers in my meadow” until… “my bees mysteriously vanished. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I return to television, hoping to ease the loss of my beloved hive.”

Translation: “I’ll do your show, but only if someone promises to get me bees.”

Obama vs. Larry: The Ultimate Sit‑Down

Barack Obama, no stranger to tough negotiations with global leaders, admitted in a statement:

“I’ve sat across the table from some of the world’s most difficult leaders and wrestled with some of our most intractable problems. Nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David.”

Imagine the dialogue: “Mr. President, I love your speech, but why is Alexander Hamilton drinking decaf?”

Higher Ground’s Rising Star Power

Since its 2018 launch, Higher Ground has racked up kudos with Netflix and Spotify deals, Oscar‑winning docs like “American Factory,” and children’s shows starring culinary puppets in “Waffles + Mochi.”

But nothing says “prestige venture” like pairing a former president with a man who complains about parking meters on national television.

The Sketchmasters Behind the Curtains

Larry isn’t flying solo: his trusty “Curb” showrunner Jeff Schaffer will co‑write and direct, ensuring every historically inspired sketch has exactly one bee reference and three “ugh” reactions.

Expect mash‑ups like “Founding Fathers Fight Over Wi‑Fi Passwords” and “Jefferson Learns the Electric Slide”—all delivered with that signature David deadpan.

Why This Matters (Sort of)

As America approaches its sesquicentennial—sorry, quarter‑millennial—what better way to celebrate than by reminding us that even the coolest nation still needs cranky commentary!

If nothing else, Larry and the Obamas promise a history lesson spiced with existential gripes, awkward silences, and maybe a cameo by the bees—if they can be rounded up!

Please Help Find These Forgotten Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year!

MY MOST IMPORTANT STORY  Dozens of Forgotten Little Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year! Welcome to the Sunshine State , where the palm trees sway, the alligators lurk, and the legislative process makes Kafka look like a life coach!  Florida House Bill HB21 . Not just a compensation bill but possibly a 20 million dollar "Stay out of Jail Free" card for some folks. This is a bill that does some good—but also trips over its own shoelaces, falls down a staircase, and lands on a historical oversight so big, it might as well have its own zip code! An oversight that overlooks what I consider to be its most vulnerable victims! The Setup: Justice with a Catch HB21 was enacted on July 1, 2024 to compensate victims of abuse from two male juvenile detention facilities located in Florida, Dozier and Okeechobee.  It says, “Hey, survivors of abuse between 1940 and 1975, here’s some compensation for the horrific things you endured!” Sounds good, right? Postal Police Stuck Behind ‘Keep Out’ Signs While Mailmen Face Muggers: You Can’t Make This Stuff Up!!

As crime against letter carriers surges, one would think that America’s armed, uniformed Postal Police might be hitting the streets to protect our mail.  Instead, they’re still glued to their post office entrances like sentries guarding Fort Frownmore.  Why?  Because since 2020, the Postmaster General decreed they must “protect postal property” only—meaning, they currently serve as glorified lobby bouncers rather than actual roaming guardians of the mailstream. “ They’re robbing letter carriers, they’re sticking a gun in a letter carrier’s face and they’re demanding arrow keys, ” laments Frank Albergo , president of the National Postal Police Union and a Postal Police Officer himself.  An "arrow key" in the context of the Post Office is a specialized, universal key that postal workers use to access various locked mail receptacles, including collection boxes, apartment mailboxes, and cluster boxes. Albergo isn’t exaggerating—research shows over 100 physical assaul...
