Man Poses as Flight Attendant, Scores 120 Bogus Free Flights!

Frequent Flyer… Fraud-ier?

Move over, bonus miles enthusiasts—there’s a new high-flying scam artist in town.

Tiron Alexander, 35, was convicted on June 5 of entering secure airport areas under false pretenses and wire fraud after federal prosecutors revealed he swiped 120 free flights by impersonating a flight attendant across four different airlines

Talk about racking up “miles”!

The Great Pretender

Between 2018 and 2024, Alexander allegedly logged 34 flights with one carrier alone—each time submitting bogus employment details, hire dates, and badge numbers.

Prosecutors say he submitted “about 30 different badge numbers,” all while claiming to be employed at seven separate airlines.

He had worked for an airline headquartered in Dallas since November 2015 according to the indictment.

Spoiler alert: he never actually worked a single shift as a flight attendant… or a pilot.

TSA: “He A Poser, But He’s Not a Threat”

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), who sniffed out Alexander’s scheme, took a surprisingly upbeat tone. A TSA spokesperson noted:

“While Alexander was able to board flights by fraudulently obtaining a boarding pass, he underwent all applicable TSA security procedures, including ID verification and physical screening, and did not pose a threat to other airline passengers.”

So apparently, fake uniform = no danger, but definitely a paperwork headache.

Wire Fraud and Secure Area Shenanigans

Alexander’s stunt landed him not just in hot water but under two federal charges:

  1. Wire fraud (max 20 years prison)

  2. Entering secure airport areas under false pretenses (max 10 years)

Additionally, each carries up to three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine

His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 25—plenty of time for him to reconsider his frequent flier strategy.

“Flying Without a Clue”

Federal prosecutors summarized the trial evidence:

“Alexander posed as a flight attendant on three other airline carriers… booked more than 120 free flights by falsely claiming to be a flight attendant.”

Public defenders have yet to comment, presumably busy confirming they, too, have real day jobs.

A Cautionary Tale

This saga is a reminder that “self-service boarding” shouldn’t extend to inventing whole careers.

While Alexander’s mileage heist may sound comical, it underscores serious security implications—after all, if someone can waltz past the gates in capris and a fake badge, what’s next?

A “Pantry Pilot” raiding snack carts?

The Upshot for Travelers

Airlines typically offer free or heavily discounted “non-rev” seats to crew on standby.

Alexander exploited that policy, but the fallout means carriers may tighten verification—possibly delaying even the real in-flight heroes who simply forgot their badge in the crew lounge.

This case has also led to the TSA replacing its Known Crewmember Program with a new system called the Crewmember Access Point, which will incorporate biometric scans and enhanced verification to prevent similar incidents in the future.

So next time you spot someone in uniform claiming they “work here,” maybe don’t hand over your peanuts quite so fast.

And if someone offers you a ride in the cockpit, be sure they’ve got genuine seniority… or at least a LinkedIn profile to back it up!

Postal Police Stuck Behind ‘Keep Out’ Signs While Mailmen Face Muggers: You Can’t Make This Stuff Up!!

As crime against letter carriers surges, one would think that America’s armed, uniformed Postal Police might be hitting the streets to protect our mail.  Instead, they’re still glued to their post office entrances like sentries guarding Fort Frownmore.  Why?  Because since 2020, the Postmaster General decreed they must “protect postal property” only—meaning, they currently serve as glorified lobby bouncers rather than actual roaming guardians of the mailstream. “ They’re robbing letter carriers, they’re sticking a gun in a letter carrier’s face and they’re demanding arrow keys, ” laments Frank Albergo , president of the National Postal Police Union and a Postal Police Officer himself.  An "arrow key" in the context of the Post Office is a specialized, universal key that postal workers use to access various locked mail receptacles, including collection boxes, apartment mailboxes, and cluster boxes. Albergo isn’t exaggerating—research shows over 100 physical assaul...

Please Help Find These Forgotten Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year!

MY MOST IMPORTANT STORY  Dozens of Forgotten Little Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year! Welcome to the Sunshine State , where the palm trees sway, the alligators lurk, and the legislative process makes Kafka look like a life coach!  Florida House Bill HB21 . Not just a compensation bill but possibly a 20 million dollar "Stay out of Jail Free" card for some folks. This is a bill that does some good—but also trips over its own shoelaces, falls down a staircase, and lands on a historical oversight so big, it might as well have its own zip code! An oversight that overlooks what I consider to be its most vulnerable victims! The Setup: Justice with a Catch HB21 was enacted on July 1, 2024 to compensate victims of abuse from two male juvenile detention facilities located in Florida, Dozier and Okeechobee.  It says, “Hey, survivors of abuse between 1940 and 1975, here’s some compensation for the horrific things you endured!” Sounds good, right?
