Kindergarten Graduation in Arkansas Erupts into Parental Brawl

A simple kindergarten graduation ceremony at Faulk Elementary School in West Memphis, Ark., took a spectacularly unexpected detour into mayhem on Wednesday, May 28.

Parents—yes, grown adults—traded caps and gowns for fisticuffs in a hallway showdown that left children begging for peace and the school district scrambling to restore order.

Punches, Pantomimes, and a Pulled Wig

In video footage, two women can be seen engaging in a heated verbal exchange as two men stand by.

Within seconds, the argument escalates: dismissing any attempt at mediation, the men leap in, throwing punches alongside the women.

Amid the scuffle:

One woman’s wig is yanked off in a cartoon-ish moment of vengeance.

A man’s shirt collar is stretched to comical proportions, rendering him part hostage, part paper doll.

All the while, young graduates clutch diplomas in their tiny hands, their pleas of “Stop fighting!” echoing against the tile walls.

Other adults scatter, as if fleeing a surprise fire drill but with considerably lower odds of success.

“Zero Tolerance” from the Top

Superintendent Eric Foister of the West Memphis School District condemned the melee in a pointed Facebook statement:

“We have zero tolerance for any behavior—by parents, students, staff, or visitors—that disrupts the learning environment or threatens the well-being of anyone on school grounds.”

Foister emphasized the district’s commitment:

“Such actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The district is fully cooperating with the West Memphis Police Department and will actively support efforts to prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law. We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and secure environment at all of our schools.”

Investigation Underway

The district’s own security camera system, complete with audio, captured the incident. Superintendent Foister explained:

“We have gathered all that. Obviously, we are a small community, so we have the names."

"We’ve presented those names to the local law enforcement. They are now doing their investigative process, and we’ll just wait and see how the legal system plays out.”

Foister vowed to use every available tool:

“I’m going to press any and all charges that I can,” he said. “And I will ban these adults from being on the school’s property.”

He noted—perhaps surprisingly—that no one reported serious injuries, though counseling referrals for shaken kindergartners are likely in order.

A Graduation to Remember (For All the Wrong Reasons)

What started as an afternoon of proud parents cheering their five-year-olds took an abrupt turn when adult tempers flared.

While the catalyst remains unclear, the spectacle raises troubling questions about civility, conflict resolution, and supervision at school events.

Community Reactions

Local residents expressed disbelief. One neighbor quipped, “I’ve seen high school proms more peaceful than this.” Another parent posted online: “I’m here for the cupcakes, not the UFC tryouts.”

Lessons from the Hallway Rumble

This incident underscores the importance of modeling respectful behavior. As Superintendent Foister put it:

“The safety and security of our students, staff, and school campuses remain our top priority.”

Let’s hope the lessons learned at Faulk Elementary include a renewed commitment to calm—both in the classroom and on the sidelines.

Please Help Find These Forgotten Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year!

MY MOST IMPORTANT STORY  Dozens of Forgotten Little Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year! Welcome to the Sunshine State , where the palm trees sway, the alligators lurk, and the legislative process makes Kafka look like a life coach!  Florida House Bill HB21 . Not just a compensation bill but possibly a 20 million dollar "Stay out of Jail Free" card for some folks. This is a bill that does some good—but also trips over its own shoelaces, falls down a staircase, and lands on a historical oversight so big, it might as well have its own zip code! An oversight that overlooks what I consider to be its most vulnerable victims! The Setup: Justice with a Catch HB21 was enacted on July 1, 2024 to compensate victims of abuse from two male juvenile detention facilities located in Florida, Dozier and Okeechobee.  It says, “Hey, survivors of abuse between 1940 and 1975, here’s some compensation for the horrific things you endured!” Sounds good, right? Postal Police Stuck Behind ‘Keep Out’ Signs While Mailmen Face Muggers: You Can’t Make This Stuff Up!!

As crime against letter carriers surges, one would think that America’s armed, uniformed Postal Police might be hitting the streets to protect our mail.  Instead, they’re still glued to their post office entrances like sentries guarding Fort Frownmore.  Why?  Because since 2020, the Postmaster General decreed they must “protect postal property” only—meaning, they currently serve as glorified lobby bouncers rather than actual roaming guardians of the mailstream. “ They’re robbing letter carriers, they’re sticking a gun in a letter carrier’s face and they’re demanding arrow keys, ” laments Frank Albergo , president of the National Postal Police Union and a Postal Police Officer himself.  An "arrow key" in the context of the Post Office is a specialized, universal key that postal workers use to access various locked mail receptacles, including collection boxes, apartment mailboxes, and cluster boxes. Albergo isn’t exaggerating—research shows over 100 physical assaul...
