Answering Destiny’s Tap on the Shoulder: Fate or Just Scratching an Itch?

Life is a winding road filled with unexpected turns, confusing detours, and the occasional pothole large enough to swallow a mid-sized sedan.

But according to the great General George S. Patton, fate is not entirely random—it gives us a few nudges along the way.

The real question is: Are you paying attention, or are you too busy scrolling through your phone?

Patton believed that fate doesn’t just whisper in your ear—it taps you on the shoulder.

Once, maybe twice, possibly three times, before throwing its hands up in frustration and moving on to someone else who actually picks up on subtle hints.

It’s the universe’s way of saying, "Hey buddy, here’s your chance—don’t blow it."

But let’s be honest, in today’s world, we’ve lost touch with fate’s gentle taps.

Picture this: Fate tries to get someone’s attention, but they’re too busy binge-watching the latest reality show.

The first tap? Ignored.

The second tap? Mistaken for a mosquito.

The third tap? Well, by then, fate is probably texting someone else.

Recognising the Fork in the Road

Patton’s quote tells us that when fate points the way, we need both imagination and guts to follow it. And that’s where things get tricky.

Some people hesitate when they see a fork in the road, analysing their options to the point where the road is now a four-lane highway with a traffic jam of indecision.

Others, driven by a mixture of caffeine and misguided confidence, charge full speed ahead without even checking the road signs.

But here’s the good news: Life is generous with second chances.

If you’ve missed the first few taps, don’t panic. Maybe fate’s just waiting for you to finish that last doughnut before offering another golden opportunity.

A Lesson in Taking the Leap

History is filled with people who turned around at the right moment.

Imagine if Thomas Edison had ignored fate’s tap and decided, "Nah, I’ll just stick to candle-making."

Or if the Wright brothers had shrugged and said, "Humans weren’t meant to fly—let’s just focus on bicycles."

Success, adventure, and fulfillment don’t come from waiting for fate to deliver a fully packaged destiny with a bow on top.

It takes guts. It takes imagination. It takes the ability to recognize when life is offering you an exit ramp from mediocrity.

The Takeaway: Answer the Tap

So the next time you feel a little nudge—whether it’s an unexpected opportunity, a crazy idea that won’t leave your head, or a gut feeling that you should take a chance—pay attention.

Maybe it’s fate pointing you in the right direction.

Or maybe it’s just an aggressive pigeon looking for snacks.

Either way, turning around and taking action is what separates those who forge their destiny from those who are still waiting for a clearer sign.

After all, you don’t want to be the person fate remembers as “the one who didn’t even turn around.”

Please Help Find These Forgotten Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year!

MY MOST IMPORTANT STORY  Dozens of Forgotten Little Girls Held at Male Juvenile Prison for Over a Year! Welcome to the Sunshine State , where the palm trees sway, the alligators lurk, and the legislative process makes Kafka look like a life coach!  Florida House Bill HB21 . Not just a compensation bill but possibly a 20 million dollar "Stay out of Jail Free" card for some folks. This is a bill that does some good—but also trips over its own shoelaces, falls down a staircase, and lands on a historical oversight so big, it might as well have its own zip code! An oversight that overlooks what I consider to be its most vulnerable victims! The Setup: Justice with a Catch HB21 was enacted on July 1, 2024 to compensate victims of abuse from two male juvenile detention facilities located in Florida, Dozier and Okeechobee.  It says, “Hey, survivors of abuse between 1940 and 1975, here’s some compensation for the horrific things you endured!” Sounds good, right? Postal Police Stuck Behind ‘Keep Out’ Signs While Mailmen Face Muggers: You Can’t Make This Stuff Up!!

As crime against letter carriers surges, one would think that America’s armed, uniformed Postal Police might be hitting the streets to protect our mail.  Instead, they’re still glued to their post office entrances like sentries guarding Fort Frownmore.  Why?  Because since 2020, the Postmaster General decreed they must “protect postal property” only—meaning, they currently serve as glorified lobby bouncers rather than actual roaming guardians of the mailstream. “ They’re robbing letter carriers, they’re sticking a gun in a letter carrier’s face and they’re demanding arrow keys, ” laments Frank Albergo , president of the National Postal Police Union and a Postal Police Officer himself.  An "arrow key" in the context of the Post Office is a specialized, universal key that postal workers use to access various locked mail receptacles, including collection boxes, apartment mailboxes, and cluster boxes. Albergo isn’t exaggerating—research shows over 100 physical assaul...
